The UP Manila Office of International Linkages (UPM-OIL) was created in 2016 to develop and implement programs that will improve understanding of the value of internationalization, increase interaction with the international community, and enhance student skills needed in a globalized and multi-cultured society. It is under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
The UPM-OIL integrates global and intercultural dimensions in teaching, learning, research and public service and engages in mutually beneficial collaborations with international partners, for the development of well-rounded and highly competent individuals who can contribute to national and global transformation in health and related fields.
It covers local and international linkage activities within universities, such as student and faculty exchanges, research and development collaborations, post graduate trainings, program service providers, partnership conferences, and other academic activities.
