The UP Manila Learning Resource Center (UPM-LRC),established in 1997, is tasked to supplement,complement, and coordinate existing learning assistance programs, its three programs- Enrichment Assistance Program(EAP), Life Skills Development Program (MEP)--help it to achieve its specific goals: to upgrade the capability of the student to meet the demands of UP education, particularly in Communication (English/Filipino), Science, and Mathematics; to provide assistance to students regarding their psychosocial development by giving training, workshops, and seminars in leadership, personallity development, values education and others; to coordinate with other offices/units and organizations in the university regarding student progress and welfare; and, to determine the effectiveness of the learning assistance programs through a student trucking and evaluation system.
