What is the UP-PGH COVID-19 Bayanihan Na! Operations Center?
The UP-PGH COVID-19 Bayanihan Na! Operations Center is a 24/7 Call Center dedicated to answering queries on (1) on COVID-19 related matters; (2) how to donate to help COVID-19 patients and the frontliners who take care of them; and, (3) how to volunteer. All they have to dial is 155-200. (If the caller is from outside Metro Manila, dial 02-155-200. If from abroad, dial 632-155-200. Call charges will apply in these situations.)
Located at the Nurses Home within the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) compound, it was formally launched on 30 March 2020. It uses one hotline number and 20 lines lent by the Philippine Long Distance Telephone, Inc. (PLDT, Inc.). The Center is manned by 60-70 volunteer interns in 3 eight-hour shifts.
