VISION

The PGH, globally competitive and committed to the health of the Filipino people, through networking and teamwork of competent, compassionate and ethical health professionals, shall be the center of excellence and leadership in health care training and research that impacts on health policies.

The Philippine General Hospital (PGH), founded on August 17, 1907, is the training hospital for the health professional colleges. Here, students undergo the rigorous process of service, training, and research in the wards, clinics, operating theaters, and laboratories, transforming them into mature health professionals fully equipped with the knowledge and skills of providing quality health care to their countrymen.

Situated in the middle of the 13.5-hectare complex, PGH is considered the biggest modern tertiary hospital in the country, servicing approximately 800,000 patients a year. It remains as the only national referral center for tertiary care, providing direct and quality patient services to thousands of non-paying, underserved clients all over the country.

Because of its reputation in providing the best subspecialty training in several clinical fields, it attracts health professionals from other schools.
